Lashes are the fastest route from training to earning in beauty. A full set takes one appointment to learn to sell and rebooks every two to three weeks for refills. The Lash Extension Course in Nepal for international students is 2 days and $450 at Artistry Academy in Kathmandu, with a full lash kit, live model practice and a certificate of completion. Here is exactly what you learn, who the course suits, and how to turn it into income back home.

Who teaches you
Lash training at Artistry Academy is led by Sonika Lama KC, our Lash Expert and PMU Specialist with more than ten years of experience and advanced eyelash techniques learned under top Korean trainers, alongside Pramila, our Nail Tech and Lash Expert with six years of hands-on experience. Meet them in our master trainers profile.
Day one: foundations and classic lashes
Eye health, consultation and hygiene
Every safe lash career starts with the natural lash. You learn the lash growth cycle, how to assess lash strength, and the conditions that mean you should not proceed, such as active eye infection or known adhesive sensitivity. Then consultation and patch-test practice, sanitation, tweezer hygiene and workstation setup — the standards your insurer or salon will expect.
Isolation and classic application
Isolation is the single skill that separates good lash artists from damaging ones. You practise separating one natural lash cleanly, then apply one extension per natural lash with correct placement, distance from the lid and adhesive amount. You also learn lash mapping: choosing lengths, curls and thicknesses to suit eye shape rather than applying one style to every client.
Day two: volume lashes and live models
Hand-made volume fans
Volume work means building a fan of ultra-fine extensions and placing it on a single natural lash. You learn fan-making, weight control so natural lashes are never overloaded, and how to build density that still looks soft. Our classic vs volume vs hybrid guide explains the look of each to clients.
Working on a real model
Practice mannequins teach the hand movement. A live model teaches you timing, client comfort, eye-pad placement and how humidity changes adhesive behaviour. You finish with removal technique and the aftercare talk that protects your retention — the same advice in our eyelash extension aftercare guide.
What a 2-day course can and can’t do
Two days gives you correct technique, a full kit and supervised model work. It does not give you speed. Expect a classic full set to take you considerably longer than an experienced artist for your first few weeks, and plan to practise on friends and family before charging full price. If you want a longer, deeper programme, students based in Nepal can take our 14-day Professional Lash Course (NPR 55,000), which adds hybrid lashes and lash lift and tint — compared in our nail vs lash course guide.
The business case
Look at our own international menu as a guide to what these services sell for: classic lash extensions at $60, volume at $95, hybrid at $90 and lash lift and tint at $55. Refills every two to three weeks turn one client into a steady monthly booking. Divide the $450 course fee by what a full set sells for in your city and most students need only a handful of paying clients to cover it.
Add brows and save on one trip
Many students pair lashes with brows. The 1-day Brow Lamination Course is $220, and the 5-day Full Brow & Lash Package at $1,750 combines lash extensions, brow lamination and PMU nano brows and microblading with all kits included.
Planning your trip to Kathmandu
A 2-day course fits comfortably into a four- or five-day stay. Nepal offers visa on arrival for most nationalities; we can provide a letter of invitation on request, arrange airport pickup and help you find accommodation near our studio at Sohrakhutte Chowk. Our international student guide covers visas, stay and costs in detail. Visa rules can change, so confirm the current requirement for your passport before you fly.
