Visa: what you need to know
Nepal offers visa on arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport for most nationalities, which is why short training trips here are simple to arrange compared with countries that require a study visa applied for months in advance. Tourist visas are commonly issued for 15, 30 or 90 days.
We can provide a letter of invitation for your training programme on request — useful if your embassy or your employer asks for documentation, and worth requesting early. Visa rules are set by the Government of Nepal and can change, so always confirm the current requirement for your passport with the Department of Immigration or your nearest Nepali embassy before you fly. A handful of nationalities are not eligible for visa on arrival and must apply in advance.
Getting here, staying, and what it costs
- Airport pickup. We can arrange transport from Tribhuvan International Airport to your accommodation — send your flight details when you book.
- Accommodation. We help students find somewhere near the studio. Kathmandu has everything from guesthouses to serviced apartments, and staying close to Sohrakhutte means you are not spending your training days in traffic.
- Living costs. Nepal is inexpensive by international standards — day-to-day food and transport cost a fraction of what they do in Europe, Australia or the Gulf, which is a real part of why the total trip works out cheaper.
- Best time to come. October–November and March–April are the most comfortable months and the clearest for travelling on afterwards. Monsoon runs roughly June to September; the training runs indoors regardless, but flights within Nepal are less reliable then.
What you actually train on

Live model sessions are part of every programme. Practice skin teaches you the motion; real skin teaches you pressure, bleeding, flinching, different skin types and working to time. No certificate should be issued without it.
Is the certificate recognised where you live?
Be careful with any academy anywhere in the world that claims a certificate is “valid everywhere”. No private beauty certificate is a licence. Permanent makeup is regulated differently in every country: some require a local health and hygiene or bloodborne pathogens certificate, some require registration with a local council, and some have no requirement at all.
What a training certificate does is evidence your competence and hours to a local regulator, an insurer or an employer — which is usually exactly what they ask for.
