Three days sounds short until you see what is in them. The Nano Brows and Microblading intensive at $1,450 is our most-booked international programme, and it is deliberately dense: you arrive able to do neither technique and you leave having mapped, drawn and worked on live skin, holding a professional PMU machine that is yours to take home. This is the hour-by-hour picture of what actually happens, what is in the kit, and what you should honestly expect to be capable of on day four.
Who this course is for
It suits three kinds of student. Complete beginners who want a career in brows and would rather learn both techniques properly than one badly. Working beauticians — lash techs, nail techs, makeup artists — adding the highest-margin service on the menu. And existing microblading artists who need machine work because their oily-skinned clients are not healing well with blade alone. If you are in that third group, say so when you enquire and we will weight your days differently.
No prior qualification is required. Training is in English.
Day one — mapping, theory that actually matters, and the machine in your hand
Morning: brow mapping and facial symmetry. This is the part students underestimate and clients judge you on. You learn to measure to the face rather than to a template — the three reference points, how to work with an asymmetrical face (which is every face), how to correct a brow the client has been over-plucking for fifteen years, and how to show the client the shape before you touch skin so you are agreeing, not persuading.
Late morning: colour theory and pigment selection. Undertone, skin type, how pigment shifts as it heals, and why the colour that looks right wet on day one is not the colour you are aiming for. You will learn to select from a professional pigment range rather than memorising one recipe. Our pigment guide covers the range in detail if you want to read ahead.
Afternoon: hygiene, contraindications and consent. Single-use cartridge needles, barrier protocol, cross-contamination, workstation setup, and the client questions that mean you do not proceed today — blood thinners, active skin conditions, recent treatments, pregnancy, keloid history. This is the section that protects your licence and your insurance wherever you go home to.
Rest of day: practice skin. Blade angle, depth, stretch, pressure, hand position, and then the machine — needle depth, speed, and the feel of a nano stroke against a microblading stroke.
Day two — technique, both hands, both methods
Microblading. Hair-stroke patterns that follow real growth direction rather than a fan of parallel lines. Stroke length, spacing, curvature, and how to build density without creating a block. Where microblading still wins: dry to normal skin, clients who want visible individual hairs, mature skin done lightly.
Nano brows and machine work. The same visual result achieved with a single-needle machine cartridge instead of a blade — gentler on skin, far better retention on oily skin, and safer in inexperienced hands because depth is more controllable. You also cover ombre and powder shading, which is the technique most clients over thirty-five actually ask for once you show them healed examples.

You will work on practice skin until the motion is automatic. Nobody touches a model with an unsteady stroke.
Day three — live models, start to finish
This is the day the course exists for. You take a real client from consultation through mapping, numbing, colour selection, the procedure itself, and aftercare instructions — with your trainer beside you, not across the room.
What live skin teaches that practice skin cannot: how much a face moves, how skin stretches differently at the tail than at the head of the brow, how bleeding changes your visibility, how a client flinching mid-stroke affects your line, and how long the whole thing genuinely takes when someone is talking to you. You also learn the client-facing half of the job — managing expectations, explaining the healing stages before they happen so a panicked message on day five never arrives, and booking the touch-up correctly.
Model numbers are confirmed at booking. Tell us in advance if you are travelling with a friend who could model, since several students come in pairs.
What is in the kit — the specifics
“Professional kit included” means nothing without a model number, so here is ours. The programme includes a professional PMU machine, a full set of premium pigments, and single-use cartridge needles. What you can honestly expect on day four
We would rather set this out plainly than have you discover it later. After three days you will be able to consult, map, select colour, and complete a set of brows on a cooperative client — correctly and safely, but not quickly. Speed comes with repetition, and every artist in the world was slow at first.
What you should plan for: a run of practice clients at a reduced rate to build speed and a portfolio, photographing every set at the same angle and light, and taking healed photos at week six rather than just fresh ones. Colour correction on other artists’ old work is a separate skill — do not accept those bookings in your first months. Certification, and what it does
You receive an international certificate on completion. Be sceptical of any academy anywhere claiming a certificate is “valid everywhere” — no private beauty certificate is a licence, and permanent makeup is regulated differently in every country. Some markets require a local bloodborne pathogens or hygiene certificate, some require council registration, some require nothing.
What your certificate does is evidence your training, technique and hours to a local regulator, an insurer or an employer — which is normally exactly what they ask for. Check your own country’s requirement before you book and tell us what documentation you need, so we can make sure your paperwork matches it.

Can a complete beginner take this course?
Yes. No prior qualification is required and training is in English. Do I work on real models?
Yes. Day three is live model work from consultation through mapping, procedure and aftercare, with your trainer beside you. Practice skin teaches the motion; real skin teaches pressure, bleeding, movement and working to time. We do not issue a certificate without model work.
What equipment do I take home?
A professional PMU machine, a full set of premium pigments and cartridge needles are included in the fee. Artistry Academy is the authorized Goochie distributor for Nepal, so students train on genuine professional equipment and can restock the same pigments and cartridges after returning home.
Will I be able to take paying clients straight away?
You will be able to work safely and correctly, but not quickly — speed comes with repetition. Plan a run of practice clients at a reduced rate to build your portfolio and your timing, and leave colour correction of other artists’ old work until you have months of your own sets behind you.
How many days should I plan to be in Kathmandu?
Add two days either side of the course, so a 3-day intensive fits comfortably into a one-week trip. Nepal offers visa on arrival for most nationalities, we can arrange airport pickup from Tribhuvan International and help you find accommodation near the studio at Sohrakhutte Chowk.
